Haven't been blogging since my one week escapade to Singapore. Shall now attempt to recollect the whole whelm of events as best as my memory serves me.
I remember that as soon as I touched down, I was greeted with a blast of hot air and humidity. But even the dreadful weather could not dampen my spirits, i was SO GLAD to be home. After calling my dad up, I rang up a few church friends from the airport - I was eager to hear their voices once again. They were in the midst of celebrating OCC's anniversary, and urged me to join them. I politely declined, reminding myself that I was here to spend quality time with my family. And so I did. The parents and I had a wonderful night out at Sentosa and Vivo.
Sunday was family day once again, as has always been the tradition. Went shopping around Orchard, and dad brought me to see the prized possession. It looked lovely, but was duper pricey also. Wasn't too sure if I wanted my dad to get it, but nonetheless dear daddy surprised me a few days after with a neat package holding within crisp wrapping gleefully sitting on my desk. Can't express how blessed and thankful I am.
Actually stayed in on Monday to complete my assignment, and have a swim in the evening. Stayed in a bit longer to complete more laps, and felt this wave of tranquility when everyone else had left the pool and the sky had turned dark. It was just perfect, the cool water caressing my skin and the vast revered silence when I plunged my head under water.
Will never forget the Shopping King's stunningly trained eye for accessories and clothes, Wednesday night out at Timbre, as well as the spontaneous 'I'm Yours!' exclamation. Etched even more deeply in my memory would have to be the long 6 hrs of baking with Sheryl. The dear stayed up with me all night despite having school the next morning - just to finish baking and wrapping 80 plus cupcakes and muffins as thank you gifts for the party the next day! It was meant to be a fun affair involving the whole ECG, but things do crop up. And when it boils down to the crux, I'm so glad you stuck. Heart you for all your enthusiasm and support, girl! :))
Must also thank Wan Kheong and Andrew for volunteering to head down to Orchard to retrieve the helium tank I ordered when they knew that my time on Friday was tight, as well as Cheow Yee who came early to help me with setting up the venue. And definitely to Alvin the photographer for photos to invigorate my memory of my most memorable night of the week. His efficiency is remarkable - the photos were all put together and burnt into a CD for me to bring back to Melbourne all in the span of a night!
Had great fun that night with the ECG, Steff, Xueting and Shimin - all of whom came down in lovely bright flowery prints! :) Thanks for all the thoughtful gifts and effort put into it, really loved them alot :)) A shoutout also to the church peeps for being such great guests at the party, despite there not being enough of me to go around and chat proper to each of you. Just wanna let you know that your presence was still much appreciated! And also to the cousins, aunties and uncles - thanks for coming and for the nice catchups with you guys! Its been awhile. Must also especially thank Peiying for your book - realised it applies to me much as a maturing young lady ;p
Less than 24 hours after the party, I was on the plane back to Melbourne. Really appreciate the church peeps for coming down to send me despite me saying that they really did not need to. Felt really sad to see my girlfriends on the brink of tears, but don't you guys worry I'd be coming right back in no time! And to the silly boy, hope things are all cleared now. I just really didn't want to trouble you.
All in all I'm really blessed this trip, with much affection showered. Am so grateful to all the people who made my day, especially the handful who really matter. Will I continue to bless and be blessed in Melbourne? I hope so, with this nagging feeling at the back of my mind telling me 'you lucky pig, definitely so' :) I think I better give even more of myself back. If not it will start to be deemed sinful.

A flowery affair.
My dear cousins who loaned me the venue. Mum, Dad and Han Loong! I really couldn't thank you enough! Especially to mum for the planning!
